Subject : Today, 97 % of the power consumption in the road transport comes from the petroleum products. Substitution by various alternative energies is justified, on the one hand, by the reduction of the dependence with respect to oil and, on the other hand, by the will to decrease gases for purpose of greenhouse. In a context of high price of oil, the traditional alternate fuels (biocarburants, LPG, GNV) make more marked great strides, but one can also note a renewed interest for the fuels of synthesis (GTL, CTL, BTL) for which industrial projects and "pilots" exist.
